What is the GAPS Diet?

The GAPS Nutritional Protocol (Gut and Psychology/Physiology Syndrome), founded by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, is a healing protocol designed to support and repair the gut lining, restore digestive function, and address the root causes of chronic health conditions.

GAPS is particularly supportive for:

Digestive issues (IBS, bloating, reflux)

Food intolerances

Neurological and developmental concerns (ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders)

Autoimmune disorders

Skin conditions (eczema, acne)

Anxiety and depression

Immune dysregulation

The protocol focuses on nutrient-dense foods, removal of irritants, gut-healing broths, and a phased reintroduction of foods — typically starting with the GAPS Introduction Diet and transitioning to the Full GAPS Diet.

Commitment to the GAPS Journey

GAPS is not a short-term fix. It is a deeply therapeutic protocol that requires a high level of dedication to both dietary and lifestyle change for the whole family. In order to experience true healing and long-term benefits, clients must be willing to:

Follow the GAPS protocol as outlined

Make significant changes to diet and food preparation

Prioritise home-cooked, nutrient-dense meals

Allow time for the healing process

Before booking your Initial GAPS Consultation, you must agree to fully commit to the process. I will guide and support you every step of the way, but success on GAPS depends on your consistency and openness to change.

My Role as a Certified GAPS Practitioner

As a trained GAPS Practitioner, I offer structured, personalised support to individuals and families wanting to implement the GAPS Nutritional Protocol safely and effectively. I understand the emotional and physical complexities that often come with chronic illness, especially in children and adults with overlapping sensitivities, behavioral symptoms, or neurological concerns.

In addition to my GAPS training, I bring a holistic, naturopathic perspective — ensuring each client receives care that is  practical, compassionate, and empowering, helping you move forward with confidence.
